Therapy with Lizabeth

"Honor the moment between no longer and not yet" -  Nancy Levin

I believe therapy has the power to radically transform one's experience of life — changing people, perspectives, and ideas about who we are, all flowing in a new direction.

I offer therapy for individuals in Los Angeles and online throughout Califronia.

About

Navigating the waves of life can be challenging, especially amidst the whirlwind of work, relationships, and an ever-changing world. It's easy to feel off-balance, but with intention and skill, you can reclaim your balance. Individuals come to see me when they sense something missing in their lives, whether it's connection, purpose, or both. They may feel stuck, confused, or struggle with confidence and self-worth. Others may experience depression, anxiety, or feel overwhelmed by grief or anger. I'm here to support you surfing these waves. I work collaboratively with you, integrating various approaches (client-centered, humanistic, gestalt, narrative, mindfulness and Eastern philosophies) to create change. It takes great courage in seeking help and I appreciate you being here.

As a dedicated therapist, I specialize in guiding those who identify as women in various stages of life- from teens to elders- to cultivate a life rich with meaning and joy. Through a trauma-informed and culturally-affirming lens, I empathically address topics like identity exploration, mindfulness, privilege, systems of oppression, self-expression, self-esteem, and complex family dynamics. By fostering compassionate self-awareness and embracing strengths and vulnerabilities, I help you build an empowered, dynamic relationship with yourself, your loved ones, and daily life.

My journey has evolved from the creative world to health and healing. I bring a unique blend of experience from art, gallery and museum culture, mindfulness, and spirituality, integrating these elements, along with a bit of humor, into a compassionate, relational, and holistic approach to healing and personal growth. Passionate about social justice and an ally to the LGBTQIA+ community, I am here to help clients transform their pain into opportunities for empowerment, self-discovery, and embracing their own mindful cushion.

Why Cascata Psychotherapy? Cascata in Italian translates to waterfall. Waterfalls are often seen as symbols of change, good fortune, and moving forward, all aspects we embrace in navigating the journey of growth and transformation.

To acknowledge the impact of systemic racism on mental health disparities and access to care, I commit to making monthly donations to organizations that focus on providing mental health support to BIPOC communities and/or supporting BIPOC therapists and healers.

We honor and respect the land we inhabit as the unceded and ancestral territories of the Gabrieleno Tongva tribe. In order to support the rights of Indigenous communities we make monthly contributions to the 7th Generation Fund and the  Sogorea Te’ Land Trust.  We invite you to do the same.
